Dr. Johan HattinghOrthodontist
Dr Johan Hattingh obtained his BChD (cum laude) in 1997 and then went on to obtain his MChD (Ort) (cum laude) in 2003. He received the Gold Medal of the South African Dental Association (SADA) and the Certificate of the Vice- Chancellor and Rector of UP for outstanding academic achievement in 1997.
He was also awarded with the Top Achievement at Magister Level for the School of Dentistry in 2003. He is a founder member of ETOS (Eastern Tshwane Orthodontic Study Group) and has been a consultant in the Department of Orthodontics from 2007-2014.
He is a member of the South African Dental Association (SADA) and the South African Society of Orthodontists (SASO). In his spare time he enjoys cattle farming, photography, bird-watching and travelling with his family.
Dr. Shazia OmarOrthodontist
Dr Shazia Omar qualified as a Dentist at the University of the Western Cape in 2009. She was awarded the SADA Gold Medal for Academic Excellence at the end of her final year of undergraduate studies.
Dr Omar went on to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Interceptive Orthodontics Cum Laude at the University of the Western Cape in 2012. In 2013 she completed her Primaries (Anatomy and Medical Physiology), with Distinction, at the University of Stellenbosch. She joined the Orthodontics Department at the University of the Western Cape as a Sessional Dentist/Supervisor to undergraduate students in 2014.
Dr Omar qualified as a Specialist Orthodontist at the University of Pretoria in 2018. She is a member of the South African Dental Association (SADA), as well as the South African Society of Orthodontists (SASO) and the Golden Key International Honour Society. She has a passion for Orthodontics and loves nature, wildlife and travel.
Elsabé DelportOral Hygienist / Practice Manager
I studied at the University of Pretoria and qualified in 1983. I have been working at Braceland Centurion since March 2009. Previously I worked at a number of orthodontic practices.
I am happily married and have two wonderful children. They live in Somerset-West and both of them work full time and study part time, I am extremely proud of them! In my leisure time, I love reading and spending time with my husband, friends and our three adorable dogs.

I did the Dental assisting course at Pretoria Technicon in 1998. I have been working at Braceland Centurion since February 2011.
Previously I worked for a Prosthodontist and a Maxillo-Facial and Oral Surgeon.
I am an animal lover and I have a beautiful Rottweiler puppy. In my spare time I crochet, read, do crafts and bake cakes. I love spending quality time with my family.

I previously worked for SAMHS as Dental Assistant and practice manager through whom I also studied.
I have been working for Dr. Johan Hattingh since 2007.
I am married and have a lovely little girl.
In this busy life it is important to set time aside for fun and that is why I still play hockey!

I studied at the University of Pretoria and qualified in 2007. I have worked at various orthodontic practices in and around Pretoria, and started working for Dr. J. Hattingh in January of 2018.
In my spare time, I like reading, baking and making precious memories with my beautiful family.
I love the field of orthodontics because of the lasting, positive effect it has on the long term self confidence of patients.

I studied at the University of Pretoria (UP) from which I qualified as an Oral Hygienist in 2011. I started working for Dr. Johan Hattingh straight after varsity which was in November 2011.
In my spare time I enjoy watching movies, playing games and going shopping.
I am from Witbank and my family live there so I especially enjoy spending time with family and friends over weekends.

I am originally from Rustenburg in the North-West Province. I enjoy playing action netball and I love nature, travelling and adventurous activities. My favorite place in South Africa is the Kruger National Park. I truly believe laughter is the best medicine.

I studied Oral Hygiene at the University of Pretoria and qualified in 1999. Over the Past 17 years I have mainly worked in orthodontic practices – it is my favourite dental specialty!
I spend my free time with my husband and little girl, but love reading and scrapbooking in my free time.

Since childhood I’ve always wanted to have braces which inspired me to want to work for an orthodontist. I have always admired the end result of having braces. I qualified from the University of Pretoria in 2018. I am the second Oral hygienist to qualify in my family.
Apart from Orthodontics, I enjoy baking, watching movies, scrap booking, photography, art, travelling and outdoor activities.
I grew up in a fairly big Greek/ Spanish family where I spend most my time. My family is such a blessing.

I am responsible for the sterilization of all the instruments used in the practice. I also do all the general cleaning at Braceland Centurion and thus keep everything clean.
I have been working for Dr. Hattingh since August 2014. I also work for a Maxillo-Facial and Oral Surgeon part time. I enjoy my work very much!
I have two daughters aged seven and nine years respectively. They are the joy of my life! I love reading and spending time with my family. I also play netball on Saturdays to stay fit.
